You wait for a silence
I wait for a word
Lying next to your frame
Girl unobserved
You change your position
You’re changing me
Casting these shadows
Where they shouldn’t be

Rachel observed the cheerleader from afar. She watched the lines in her forehead crease before scratching something out in her notebook. Ink on paper. A heavy sigh came from the blonde, her chest rising and falling. Air in lungs. She observed how the blonde clicked her pen in frustration. Noise from plastic. She admired the blondes long eyelashes and soft eyelids, how she batted instead of blinked. Butterflies. The rest of the Gee Club chatted amongst themselves as Rachel stood up, her chin jutted forward. “Mr.Schue,” she said loudly, “I have a song I would like to sing.” Mr.Schue nodded and waved his hand to Brad, a simple routine. Rachel’s eyes roamed over the Glee Club, and stopped on one in particular. “I’d like to sing a song… for a writer.”

Deus Ex Machina | mysecondhomeishere

Summary: Rachel Berry always knew that she was a little bit psychic. In fact, Rachel Berry thought she knew just about everything. That is, until a spirit that refused to die entered her life like a train-wreck. It’s only after Rachel’s fallen in love that she realizes life doesn’t exactly go as planned; and neither does death, for that matter.
